Welcome to my blog!

On July 11-24, 2008, I will have the opportunity to go to the small village of Migori in Kenya, East Africa. I am going with KenyaRelief.org, a non-profit organization whose mission is to rekindle hope for a new generation in Kenya through partnerships between communities uniting for a common good.

Our mission while we are there is to support Michael and Sandy Boultinghouse, a couple from North Little Rock, Arkansas, who have committed to stay in Migori for a year with the intent of helping KenyaRelief.org be more productive.

The cost of this trip is $3500. The reason this trip is so expensive, other than an international airline ticket, is to alleviate our footprint on the community of Migori. The cost of the trip will pay for any supplies we need for projects as well as employ many unemployed Kenyans in hosting us and helping with any of our projects.

Thank you in advance for your support. As you are considering how you can help, I’d ask that you consider your Government Stimulus checks. Julie and I have used a portion of ours to help the children’s ministry at our church. I'd challenge you to consider the good that can be done if we all gave $100 or $200 of what the government is giving us to make our world a better place.

If you would like to help financially, you can send a check to:
KenyaRelief.org
PO Box 94056
North Little Rock, AR 72190

Due to IRS regulations please do not put my name in the memo section of your check. Include a note that says your check is for: Andrew Dorsey. All gifts are tax deductible and will be promptly receipted
